Every backdrop starts with real materials and natural light

Each texture is photographed using a professional full-frame camera, capturing true-to-life colour and detail - no stock imagery or AI, just us out and about on texture-hunting trips! Our graphic designs (scalloped tiles etc) are created by BVS Founder, Sophie in Adobe Illustrator.

Why do designs sometimes look different on A0 and XL backdrops?

All our photography backdrop designs are carefully enlarged by repeating the image. This means you'll see more of the pattern at A0 and XL (just like how a patterned duvet cover shows more of the design than a cushion cover).

This industry standard method keeps the print sharp and the pattern perfect. No blur or pixelation - just beautifully detailed, high resolution designs, printed between 100-200MP for premium quality.

With over 180 designs, it’s easy to match your backdrop to your brand aesthetic or the mood of your shoot. Choosing the right photography backdrop depends on your brief, personal style, channel and audience. If you're unsure where to start, go with a neutral design - they’re great all-rounders!

• Marble and stone backdrops – soft tones such as white, grey, beige and cream, allow products to pop without distraction.
• Wood effects – add warmth, character and an easy rustic feel.
• Patterns and stripes – if you're using minimal props, a trend-led pattern will do the heavy lifting.

The artwork shown online is the same artwork file we use to print. As colours can appear differently depending on screen settings such as brightness, colour balance and night mode, the printed version may vary slightly from what you see on screen.

Our vinyl photography backdrops are printed to order, rather than pre-stocked. This allows us to offer a much wider range of designs and sizes without needing storage space, and it means we never overprint or need to worry about leftover stock going to waste. It may take a little longer for your backdrops to dispatch, but the benefit is that each one is freshly printed and posted - no shelf time!

You can use BVS backdrops in a few different ways. The main two setups are:

• As a flat lay photography backdrop. Ideal for styled, overhead compositions (top-down shots). Literally just lay them on a tabletop (or floor) and shoot with either an overhead extension arm on your tripod, or a C-Stand with a boom arm.
• We have a whole ‘Wall ‘Drops’ series at BVS - backdrops designed to go behind. Tape them vertically to the wall behind your scene or hang them on a horizontal arm (on a stand) using plastic clamps.
  
• Our backdrops can even double-up as imitation flooring
• And you can create an infinity curve (also called a cove or scoop) with just a single backdrop.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR VINYL BACKDROPS

A quick wipe with a damp cloth keeps your vinyl photography backdrop clean and pristine. Clean any liquids or damp food off your backdrops straight after your shot is completed. Steer clear of scratchy scourers and cleaning sprays, as they might damage the colour.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR VINYL BACKDROPS

With the right care, our photography backdrops can last a long time.

Heat – do not place scalding-hot dishes, food, grease or hot pans directly onto it.

Knives and sharp objects – vinyl is strong, but it is not impenetrable, so please do not use blades on it.

Strongly coloured foods and dyes – ingredients such as chilli, turmeric and beetroot may cause staining.

Masking tape – always remove tape slowly and carefully.

Hard edges – vinyl backdrops are hard-wearing, but they are not indestructible. Impact with a hard surface or edge, such as a table edge or door, can cause permanent dents. The same may happen if a taped backdrop comes unstuck and falls onto a hard floor.

HOW TO STORE YOUR VINYL BACKDROPS

If you've got the space, it's best to store your vinyl photography backdrops flat. Otherwise, it's fine to keep them lightly rolled inside their original cardboard tube. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or very hot or cold rooms.

Once a backdrop has been used, any damage, marks or blemishes are the sole responsibility of the buyer. We are unable to accept responsibility for damage that occurs after use and cannot offer a replacement in these circumstances.

Double-walled protection: Your vinyl backdrop is carefully rolled and packed snugly inside a rigid, double-walled cardboard tube with tightly fitted plastic end caps.

Protected in transit: The secure fit helps minimise movement during delivery and reduces the risk of creasing or crushing.

Unpack with care: Please take care when removing your photography backdrop from the tube and avoid contact with hard surfaces or sharp edges, such as table edges or door frames.

• XL 105 cm x 10 x 10 cm

🚚 FAST TRACK UK: usually 2 business days, no more than 3.
📦STANDARD UK: usually 5 business days, no more than 6.

Timeframes include printing to order, packing and courier delivery.

Once dispatched by our print partner, your order is shipped with DPD or UPS. The courier will email or text you your tracking link directly so you can follow your parcel’s journey.

Please note: All delivery times are estimates. Both Fast Track and Standard timeframes are usually met, but during busy periods, there may be occasional delays while your parcel is being processed or transferred between depots. If your parcel appears to stop moving at any point, don’t worry. Delays are usually resolved automatically. Please keep an eye on your tracking page for the latest real-time delivery status.

Need it for a shoot? For peace of mind, we recommend adding a bit of extra buffer time just in case of unexpected courier delays.

International checkout has reopened for selected countries! We now ship Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), which means all customs duties and taxes are included at checkout—no surprise charges when your parcel arrives.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

Overseas delivery costs are calculated in your local currency at checkout, using live courier rates based on your specific order and destination.

Because we ship our backdrops in long double-walled cardboard tubes, couriers price them based on "volumetric weight" (size rather than actual weight). While this makes rates slightly higher, it's the only way to guarantee your backdrops arrive safely.

We offer two shipping options:

• ✈️ FAST TRACK: approx 3–5 business days with DHL Express Worldwide.
  Delivery date calculated at checkout.
  
• 🌍 STANDARD: approx 8–10 business days with FedEx International Connect Plus. Delivery date calculated at checkout.

🚚 HOW IS MY ORDER TRACKED?

Once your order dispatches, you'll receive a tracking link to follow your parcel's journey. Keep an eye on the courier's tracking page for the latest real-time delivery status.

If you have a booked shoot, for peace of mind we recommend ordering with a bit of extra buffer time to factor in any unexpected courier delays.

Each backdrop is printed specifically to the size and design selected at checkout.

Once you receive your Order Confirmation email, this means your backdrop has entered production, so we’re unable to accept cancellations or amendments to your order.

Please double-check all details before completing your purchase.

We’re really sorry to hear that. We do our best to ensure everything arrives in perfect condition. However, if your backdrop arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us as soon as possible within 14 days of delivery. To allow us to investigate, the backdrop must not have been used.

Please include your order number, a quick description of the problem plus clear photos showing the full backdrop, as well as close-ups of the damage, so we can assess how much of the backdrop is affected. Where the damage may have occurred in transit, please also photograph the tube and lid. This helps us look into the issue quickly and get it sorted for you.

Once a backdrop has been used, we can no longer verify how it has been handled. As a result, we cannot accept responsibility for any damage or issues reported after use.

Each backdrop is printed specifically to the size and design selected at checkout. For this reason, we’re unable to accept returns, exchanges or offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases or incorrect orders.

If your order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and we’ll do our best to help resolve it as quickly as possible.

If you still have outstanding instalments after the return, they will be automatically adjusted by Klarna to reflect your return.

In cases where you have no remaining instalments after the return, Klarna will cancel any future scheduled payments.

If a refund is due after acceptance of the return, Klarna will process the refund back to the credit or debit card that you used to pay your first instalment, usually within 10 working days.
