We love seeing where and how our customers shoot with their BVS backdrops. From sheds and kitchens to stadiums and studios, these behind-the-scenes glimpses show just how flexible a portable backdrop setup can be.

Chloe @rithm_and_light regularly shoots on our backdrops in store cupboards, warehouses and restaurant kitchens. Even when the surroundings are busy or chaotic, a simple backdrop can instantly create a clean, styled scene within the frame.

One of the big advantages of printed backdrops is portability. They’re lightweight, easy to move and quick to set up on location. Roll them into their postal tube for transport or carry them flat in a storage case to keep them protected between shoots.

Emma @kitchenmason has a favourite natural-light spot by her bedroom window. It’s a perfect example of how a small home space can double as a consistent shooting area.

We always enjoy seeing the different spaces you work in. Many finished images feel studio-like, yet are created in everyday rooms and corners at home.

Deb @debporterphotography often shoots for large catering events and celebrations, taking her backdrop setups on location to places like West Ham United’s London Stadium. Proof that portable backdrops work just as well outdoors and on large commercial sites as they do at home.

And sometimes the most unexpected spaces become studios. Sam @shindmoorcreative uses our Safe black and brown backdrop in a garden shed to create clean product photography. Mixing printed surfaces with real textures and props helps build atmosphere while hiding the surrounding environment.

If you tend to use a backdrop as a wall behind your set, larger sizes give more flexibility and shooting space, especially when you want to pull the background away to create depth or softer focus. Standard A1 sizes still work well for smaller setups and single dishes, and can even be curved into simple infinity sweeps.

@matt_inwood is known for simple, refined food photography built around colour and texture. Here the Peanut backdrop is used at different angles and as an infinity curve to unify a menu shoot.

Farm Fresh Deliveries photographed their full online catalogue on our backdrops, using Utopia as a consistent base for product shots and the darker Galley wood for lifestyle and recipe imagery.

For more graphic styling, flatlay setups remain a favourite. Shooting overhead is quick to arrange and works particularly well for food, especially when working in tight or temporary spaces. It’s also one of the easiest angles to manage on a phone camera.

A final example of shooting wherever works best, @shams_kitchen_table uses kitchen spaces and natural light to build simple, balanced scenes, often bouncing light back into the set for softness.
