Wondering how to set up photography backdrops at home and in small studios?
THIS IS HOW! A QUICK, EASY + SPACE-SAVING WAY TO HANG YOUR BACKDROPS
SAVE TIME AND SPACE WITH OUR HANDY, SUSTAINABLE WOODEN BACKDROP STAND - A QUICK AND EASY SOLUTION TO HOLD YOUR BACKDROPS IN PLACE BEHIND OR DIRECTLY ON TOP OF YOUR SET.
Developed with a local wood recycling centre using reclaimed building timber and handmade in small batches - we're very proud to be bringing this simple (yet genius!) and sustainable solution to you, its taken months of trial and error!
As they're made in-house in small batches the size and finish may vary slightly from batch to batch - if you need two the same please order them at the same time! (One works fine as you can see in our images but for larger backdrops or for extra stability at each side you could use two stands and of course you might have multiple sets on the go or want to use them to hold bounce and fill cards in place too!)
Our first batch for production in September has sold out already but you will soon be able to pre-order from Batch 2 for delivery in October.
HOW TO HANG YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY BACKDROPS
Simply clip your backdrop to a piece of 5mm foamboard (or thick card) and slot them in the precision cut groove - so much quicker and easier, especially in smaller studios (or bedrooms) - no need to be tripping over loads of stand legs anymore!
Position the stand vertically next to your set or lie it down to slot the backdrop into it - this might be easier when you want some space between your set and the 'wall' behind - just make sure the chair, table etc you put it on is level!
Other kit you might need to set up your backdrops
- Foamboard - we prefer this to card as it holds itself straighter for longer and even with scrappy edges holds your backdrop in place well. Buy white 5mm foambaard here.
- Small bulldog clips - these need to be small enough that they don't add too much extra weight but strong to hold your backdrops securely while hanging on the foamboard. Buy our preferred backdrop clips here.
